Hello another update and another week has gone by, it has now been a month since we arrived and we only have four more left, it is going very quickly but I'm enjoying it and that is what counts.
This last week was mainly filled with rain, the UK swapped weather conditions with Canada it seemed and they took our snow for a week and we took their rain. But even though we had a lot of rain we still had a lot of work and still had a lot of outings.
I was put with Adventure Camp (AC) again this week and I had 4 great children and one little swine whose family gave me skittles to bribe him with and who told me to tell him to do the opposite of what I wanted. They thought it was funny that he had hissy fits and would not ski, while I did not as he caused the other children to miss out skiing time because I had to deal with him stropping. But can't win them all eh?
I got given the role of teacher puppet this week and I brought my Blue puppet in for the show which was great and everyone loved him so thanks Cooks Crew :)and on Friday I brought in both of the puppets, Muffin is a lot larger so they liked him and my manager Stephen was really happy about them and kept asking questions, I also got a man who works for Whistler Kids at the end of the day telling me how he has a theatre and puppets and he will see if he can bring his set in for us. So bringing the puppets across the lake was a good idea I think, the kids and instructors love him and the parents like the fact that I was entertaining the children with them before we went up and after we came down from skiing.
Non-work wise we got up to a lot, we went out three times this week for food, the first was just a general lets gather and eat. The second time was organised and paid for by Oyster so Tori our local Oyster worker could catch up with us and check how we were doing and the third was for Jamie's birthday. We tried to get into the tube park for his birthday too but unfortunately we couldn't all get in so looks like we're going to try and get in on Monday instead.
We had an evening of Beer Pong which is a game where you have a triangle of cups (set up like a snooker table) and have the cups filled up a quarter of the way with some type of alcohol and the two teams need to try and bounce or throw a ping pong ball into the cups of the other team. If they get the ball in the team has to drink the content of the cup and the winning team is the one who gets rid of all the opposite teams cup first. It turned out to be great fun to watch, seeing people getting a bit drunker each round and seeing them try to concentrate on getting the balls into the cups. Everyone was dressed as a country for their teams and the winner was sadly a non-country Hawaii with Egypt in a really near second and Canada in third place. After we did that we played twister for a bit which was good fun with Nikki on the spinner but instead just choosing the position most hard for everyone to get into hehe.
Yesterday we tried to get skiing lessons but because it was a bank holiday (Martin Luther King's) it was really busy so we just went skiing instead which ended up being great, Me Ashleigh and Clara went up and met up with Chris and we went up to 7th Heaven which was lovely, the snow was great today and Ashleigh helped me out with my parallel turns which was good. The snow conditions were really good, it was just soft powder and was really soft to get over the bumps with which makes a good change.
That's about it for now I will upload some pictures later :)
