I woke early and ventured to my next location off to the UK and traveling through four countries to get there via the train. After 5 hours I met Geoff and stayed at his house. It was so wonderful to see him again after 2 years and see where he resided in a gorgeous country town in kent. After a traditional pot of tea, we ventured into Maidstone the main town around here and organised some a phone and Internet whilst I'm here. We then drove to Bluewater which is apparently the biggest shopping centre in Europe. We went and saw a movie which was so nice to go to the pictures, I have not been in a very long time!
The next day was an authentic English experience by having a Sunday lunch at a traditional pub, note to self Yorkshire pudding is NOT a dessert, but what resembles a I sweet piece of bread on the plate with the roast! After lunch followed by driving to another pub and watching he football final with the two Manchester teams playing, it was an amazing atmosphere in the final moments.
I headed into London on Monday in attempt to arrange visas for Spain. I also walked around London, it feels like Sydney but cold and the people are not as hospitable as the Dutch. I'm heading back in there on Thursday to watch the cricket with the boys, pending it does not rain, if not we shall just go to the pub!
Due to the typical wet cold English weather I'm having a rest day today and watching Grey's anatomy and its reminding me of work! Ha, I'm actually starting to miss work, and looking forward to doing some on Friday:)
