Still here in good old sydney! Sorry i havent written in ages i have been informed by Nicky it was the 31st July!!! And i have been informed by Dan that i don't write about placement enough so for all who want to know the inner workings of PICU then here you go. I've done about seven shifts with two days of!! Fantastic fun. It's great working out here because most of the nurses have just said right here's you patient go for it and their getting me to do everything so (for the nurses!!) I've been playing with art lines, CVL's, IV Drug infusions, taking blood gases, running blood gases!! It's awesome!!! And in english lots of things that can horribly wrong if not done properly!!! It's been incredible i have learnt so much. We have had some really interesting cases and some amazing surgery done. But i'll chat to the girls about that when i get home it's pretty boring for the rest of you. But if you wanna know i'll tell all! As for outside the hospital had a fantastic time!! My friends moved into her flat so ive been hanging out in her pool and sauna. Weather isn't much better still cold though not raining as much *louise crosses her fingers touches wood chucks salt over shoulder!!* Went to see superman last night which was pretty cool though due to tiredness missed a chunk in the middle!!! The biggest thing was my awesome night down at sydney opera house at 11:45!!! The harbour looks awesome at night i'm gonna try and head down and get some pictures because it's just incredible! Thats if anyone wants to brave the cold with me!!! I've decided i love sydney but darling harbour is the best. They have some cool water features for the kids to play in in the summer and theres stepping stones you can jump across. So me and Carina went for dinner down in darling the other night and figured as the kids were all in bed someone needed to play on it!! So of we went skipping across the stones it was so much fun and i've decided I AM PETER PAN well less of the male more of the stay young forever kind of thing!! But anyway i think thats enough for today be back at the weekend to write more and i'll have finished my second year. Soph, Jodie, Kat it was really good to read your messages missing you guys loads and loads. I'm glad your all enjoying placement i may have found a calling in PICU who would want to go back to having 6 patients each when i just have one!!! How i love one to one nursing!!
