Lou's Australia
Hey ladies and Gents
Well here it is my last and final message to you all so i don't know how many of you will read this but none the less it is here anyway an epilogue if you will!!
The conclusion to my holiday! (ha ha!) goes a bit like this. On Mon morning we set of from sydney cramed in the back of a small white van with all our bags packed in the back with an eccentric eco warrior hippy (possibly sponsored by starbucks!) to teach us how to surf and get us into our first destination in one piece.
After hours and hours of driving we had to make a decision. Did we take the dangerous road oooohhhh scary or did we take the nice safe road. Well the dangerous road meant off road driving so of course we took that option. We headed of down this "dangerous road" and finally made it to the end with a quick stop to check out the surf! and not forgetting the lily pond!!
We finally arrived a place called Plomers Bay and set up camp in a nice tranquil really peaceful national park. So in the cold we jumped into wetsuits and started learning how to surf. Apparently we only take in 10% of what people say to us so what we had to remember was paddle with force!!! My god my shoulders hurt so the first thing on my xmas list is new shoulders!!
So we hit the surf and i spent most of our first hour or two wiping out and getting anhiliated by waves it was soooo much fun!! It chucked it down on the night and for the three nights we stayed in the cabin rather than camping! When we woke up the next morning we walked out of our room and saw kangaroos just eating the grass it was so cool and the dingo then started chasing them and i've never seen anything move so fast out of the way of something my god these kangaroos can hop!!
I finally got the hang of getting up and surfin by the end of the second day then it was a case of perfecting it and not getting obliterated! We kept going and by the end of the week i was quite good and fridays 6am surf session was awesome!!
There's definetly more stories to tell especially about my eccentric surf instructor however here is not the time nor the place they have to be told with a certain ju nas se quai (if thats how you spell it!!) Thurs saw the most exciting thing in the whole trip! Whilst surfing we got joined by a school of dolphins jumping along with us and swimming right up to the boards so that we could stroke them it was the most amazing thing ever. They were jumping with me while i was riding a huuuge wave!! It was sooooo cool!!
So now i'm in byron bay just sat chilling out for the day. I head back on the 12hour drive tommorrow at 8am and hopefully will be in sydney for 9pm!! WAHOOOOOO! I am slightly burnt but not a lot i'm more battered and bruised by the surf board so my shins are looking particularly sexy!!
Well i think i have bored you enough with my stories of wipe outs and surfing so i will leave you all with this. Thank you all for your help in getting me out here and all your support i have loved every second of being here and can not wait to see each one of you when i get home. I have missed you all so much and i can not wait to see you all soon. And it will be real soon and please have proper cadbury's waiting for me their chocolate here is not real!!
And now i take my final curtain.
Love always and forever
See you soon
Lou
