Liesl
So what does knitting, vomit, electric blankets, muffins and rain have in common?
*frowning*
You dont know?
Ah, my dear friends, these are all the little stitches in Liesl's Quilt of Life! Some of you look very confused. You dont think "Liesl" and "knitting" would go in the same category? Ha! You dont know me very well then do you chickens, because I am currently knitting myself a mother-of-a-scarf, i've baked muffins (and a lemon meringue), i ate broccoli (got the picture to prove it) and i've endured Meagan vomitting all over me. (That was a rather awful experience - and i'm not even talking about the vomit. Meagan had to have her Adenoids taken out and it was just really hard to see Mel so motherly-upset when the Anaethetist got hold of Mimoo. So the day at the hospital was one we dont really wanna re-live).
New Zealand has treated me well and i find my days filled with lots and lots of raindrops, a very strict eating regime, gyming like a mad bunny and watching lots of cool movies. I can just see some of you going "Liesl? Eating regime?" What the..? According to our fitness instructor (Stephen), food is only "fuel" for our bodies (*roll eyes*) so he sent Mel and I to a nutritionist who clearly dont understand my need (and addiction) for chocolate. I have tried to explain it to her and to Stephen, but they have managed to convince me to cut it down to twice per week!!! (what?) Chocolate only twice per week? You've GOT to be kidding me! (Ok, so i have been cheating and i've had chocolate everyday so far, but at least i'm only having chocolate once per day...its an achievement already).
Other exciting things we've done is go to Sheep World. ("When in Rome..."). I LOVED sheep world!! We saw a sheep getting sheared (is that the right way of saying it?!) and we saw how the dogs were trained to listen to the different whistles to fetch the sheep, and I got to bottel-feed a little lamb!! (The highlight of my day!) Ok, so i was the only 20-something sitting on the little step with all the under 5's, but thats besides the point. It brought back childhood memories van ou Oortjies (x 4). We also saw a bizarre display of scare-crows at the ScareCrow Festival...
We try to go to the beach as often as we can cause it is so ridiculously close to us - hardly a 10 minute drive! I'm still not used to the beauty of the place and have nearly rolled the car a few times as i get so lost staring at the beautiful hills! (Mel, totally kidding..... *guilty look*)
I have to go cause my SnuggleSox have gone cold and that means its time for bed.
Lotsa love
