On the bus from Puno we made allot of friends and we were all wondering why the hell the ticket guy kept going on about some hotel. As we pulled up into town he went off about the hotel again and the bus took us down to the water side, right in front of the hotel. We then got a speech about the hotels facilities and then dropped off outside the hotel door. After the hard sale we were pissed of so walked straight across the street to another hostel. That night we went out for a few drinks but had a fairly quiet day. The next day i decided to just grab a bus straight to La Paz. So after a shop in town and watching the local Priest bless cars as part of his daily routine i got on the bus and left. On the bus the driver made some announcement that got someone to translate for me. Basically there was a boat that we had to get that would cost extra money, as usual. When we got the boat we had to get of because the boat for the bus was actually a barge and one that didn't float very well. We luckily got on a proper boat that did float. On the other side while waiting for the bus this guy came over and tapped me on the shoulder and gave me this massive smile. "Has he just stole my wallet" i thought. I then see this large group of people staring at me and waving ect. At first i thought it was just because we were tourists but when walking to the bus the were saying stuff to me ect so i guess i was famous to them or something, was wierd.
