So i got my best bus yet from Iguazu. My jounrney was 18 hours long in total including the border crossing. I started at 2 in the afternoon on a bus that was similar to first class on an aeroplane. I got a bed, hot meals, whisky, champagne and films. So the 18 hours past very quickly. The only thing about all the poshness of the bus was that i wasnt served by a pretty hostess i was served but a large man with a shaven head who did not smile once. Not sure what happened when we got of the bus tho as i found myself in group pictures with some random people from somewhere. I guess on south american buses its where people make friends. So I was in Buenos Aires. I checked into a hostel and signed myself up for some spanish lessons. The first night in the hostel wasnt the best because the hostel turned out to basically be a bar with lots of room above it. There was party and music all night which is great for some people but not when you have been travelling for hours. In the morning i went and did a bike tour of the city. Its a very wierd city, it was made by the spanish and was used to ship the silver mined from Bolivia back to spain. Now im not a history person i just picked some stuff up from the tour. When cycling around the scenery changed so quickly, one minute you felt like you were in paris then the next you were in manhatten then you were back in south america again. There was a reason for the areas looking like other places and it had to do with some stuff that happened years ago. Sorry i didnt really take the exact details in. So the rest of the week i mainly spent in spanish class, i did 12 hours in total. It was very hard and the pace was incredible. We covered every bloody subject u could. She would give us a sheet with a conversation on it, make us read it then say now you have a conversation without telling us anything about the words or grammer. After the week of classes i didnt actually do that well picking much of it up, the other two did slightly better probably as they have learnt a language before. After classes and my other spare time i didnt really get up to much as i didnt really like being in the city as it felt the same as home. On the day i arrived i weant with a few guys to a cemetary, a famous one. The graves cost millions. Anyway i bumped into a guy that i had met in rio and again in ilha grade and as the saying goes, its a small world. Met alot of characters in Buenos Aires including a man who claims he is sueing(not sure of the spelling) George bush and a Homosexual guy who thought every other male was gay including me even tho i had a girlfriend i could appartly also be gay, oh and he kept starring at my ass so i was very consious when he was around. At the end of the week i decided that the best thing to do was to grab a flight to Ecuador so thats what i did.
