Picking Apples!!

We managed to get a job at a vineyard in Perth Hills, but I am sorry to say that our Fruit Picking experience only lasted for 2 days!!! We had an early start where we went out to the vineyard for the morning picking the apples placing them in a bag which hangs in front of you, you then empty the contents when the bags are full in to the big crates the farmers place for you... This was from 7;30am until 12pm, lunch for half an hour and then packing for the rest of the afternoon... Sounds easy but I was in bed by 8;30pm and we were so tired we started getting grouchy with one another!! We went back a second day but made the decision to leave. I have enough money from my savings to fund a trip up the caost and El & James were given some money from back home. So we started planning a Road Trip in Bad Ass!!!

We learnt a lesson and I feel we will not do fruit picking again... Should have listened to everyone at home, that had done it before!!! I don't think it would have been so bad if there were others working with us or if the owners had a sense of humour, but they didn't and we were the only people working there... Nevermind, all part of the travelling experience!
