Hello Again.... What have we been up to???
Kalbarri was brilliant, we went on a Quad Biking tour along a private beach, I went on a tour to see the gorges I stood at Natures Winow and admired the breath taking views, I was a very stupid girl and my batteries ran out and I wasn't with James and El, so a couple of German people took some photo's for me on their camera and I am hoping that they send them to me!!!! Fingers Crossed!!! We spent a couple of nigths there and we had so much fun, it was deinitely one of my faovourite stops.
After leaving there we drove to Monkey Mia, the hostel was fantastic, right on the beach and the chance to see dolphins every day. James, Erica and I all had a chance to feed the dolphins which was a great experience, we have lots of fabulous photo's!
We left there for a stop over at Canarvon, the cabin we stayed in was lovely, the town however was not... There were soooo many Aboriginees lingering around. We sorted out our car registration which was up for renewal and left to visit 'The Dish' which is featured in the film... There wasn't too much info available on it, but we took some photo's and left for Coral Bay.
Coral Bay is another Favourite, the sea was so clear in colour, you can walk out to coral and snorkel to your hearts content! Whilst we were there we went on a glass bottom boat tour, where we stopped at a couple of places where we could jump off and snorkel. There were so many beautifully coloured fish, we were told that there are reef sharks around the bay, but no shark attacks have ever happened there, so this settled our minds! As much as it would freak me out to see one, I would have liked to!
We hit the road again and have now been in Exmouth for two nights now, we are leaving to start the very begining of our trek to Broome! We have definitely needed a car here to see everything, we stopped at Turquoise Bay for a bit, but we didn't snorkel as the current was soooo strong! We weren't sure it would be a good idea! After a day of exploring we sat down with a girl called Tara who is from Canada and Chris, a crazy Australian that we are not too sure about :-) and also a couple of guys that have been travelling around together, Pascal and Will. Pascal is from Switzerland and Will from Enfield, London. Will is going to join us on our trip to Broome. We have had two very late nights in a row though, it might have had something to do with the Goon consumed... (Boxed Wine).
At the moment in Exmouth there is a huge Fishing competition called Gamex on, so this evening we are going to be nosey and go see the fish being weighed in - Don't worry Dad, I'll get some photo's for you - and then we are off to a part of Creek where turtles come in at night to lay there eggs... We hope to see one or two, and Tara is going to come along too! We have had fun here, but we hit the road again tomorrow to further our adventure!
Talk to you soon!!!
