So, where have we been... Since we left Perth Hills we have been Busy Bees and haven't stopped sight seeing...
When we left Perth we made our way to Lancelin which is very popular for Windsurfers and Surfers, there wasn't much to see, within the town but we had a fab morning Sand Surfing! We made our way on after a night's stay to Cervantes where we stayed for two nights and we were able to see the Pinnacles at Sunset. The heat was starting to pick up and was definitely in it's high 30's.
After a very relaxed stay there we drove on towards to Geraldton stopping at various sights on the way but there wasn't too much on the way, just to give you an idea, we stopped at a place called Dongara yesterday and they were advertising their graveyard as a feature of the town to visit???
When we reached Geraldton it had reached a whopping 43 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hot! We stayed on a site juist outside of Geraldton and visited the Batavia museum by the seafront... Because it has been so hot it is difficult to sun bathe - or not safe, I should say - But we have stopped at a few bays and baches along the way too.
Now we are in Kalbarri, where the heat isn't quite as strong, but there are still lots of flies (I forgot to mention that - the flies so annoying here because of the heat, and it will only get worse we are told). Today we were able to take some pictures of the Pink Lakes, we stopped very briefly in Nothampton and we visited Hutt River Province, Google it, we met Prince Leonard, had our passport stamped and were given a private tour by the man himself.
Sprry I haven't been able to uopdate everyone more regularly, the phone signal is terrible in every town we have passed through, and we haven't had a chance to get on the internet or it has been too expensive.
I'll let you know what we get up to in Kalbarri once we have seen ehat there is to do!
Bye for Now
