Yesterday had my first ride back in autorickshaw with 3 other people and driver. Went better than thought but still fitted through some tiny gaps. The club yesterday was really nice- had tennis courts, swimming pool, bar, restaurant and toilets were like a hotel. Today started my project. Its been ok. Bit of an organisation day today and kept being passed over from one person to another to do my orientation. Was introduced to that many people I haven't a clue about hardly any of their names. Was given that much information that also had information overload.I think I may have seen my first sight of Indian toilets today. Went in toilet cubicle at work and wasn't sure whether I had accidently walked into mens but was pretty sure I hadn't. Anyway the next cubicle along was a western toilet. Had trouble thinking what to wear for work today to make sure I didn't cause any offence dress wise. Rode home in the school bus. Tomorrow will probably do a longer time at work so will have to get public bus. At project there is a school for disadvantaged, able-bodied children after 2:30 so might get involved in that. They were all waiting to go in when I was leaving in school bus. Temperature isn't too bad as monsoon rains keep it cooler. I am getting tired alot though which probably is to do with temperature, new food, jet lag etc. I am hoping that I haven't got the beginnings of a cold and its just an allergy as keep sneezing and my throat feels a bit sore. The only time I tend to shiver now is when I have a shower as its cold water which I cannot bear. Don't enjoy the washing of hair. Have to bend my back backwards and head into water. Think I might have been able to have a warm bath but not sure.

Rachael Edwards Suz it sounds so exciting! Sorry to hear about the cold water and the massive insects - that made me laugh! Hope all goes well and you have a great time. Hope youl only feel a bit run down for a little while as you get used to the change. Keep the updates coming! Love Rach xxx
Sylvia Brookes I remember when we were in Oman I also went into the wrong toilet. But they were so clean i thought what the hell its a hole in the floor carry on. I had to remember to turn my trousers up. try doing that at the same time as i did not want to get my feet wet. Oh what fun you are going to have and the tales you will tell. Hope you are not getting a cold. How about a dry hair shampoo. Thinking of you. Love sylvia xxx
Suzanne Ellis Hi Think it may be the malaria tablets affecting me slightly as read through side effects for them last night and it mentioned, headache, sore throat and loss of appetite. All of which have been affecting me. Not extremely badly though thank goodness. Yep got a dry shampoo but doesn't work as well with my hair being darker now rather than blonde. xxx
mum hi- Great to hear latest. Have read all e-mails forwarded & seems that you & kathryn have sorted out some of the Delhi problems. Went to retired teachers & they were very interested in reading the blog. For anniversary went to Emperors Court for meal & Micheal was asking after you. Saw Chris in there ( lucy's husband) & he asked for details of blog & said Daisy would love it as she thinks so much of you. Out with Carol & Alan this evening- it is his birthday,.Carol came yesterday with Issy & she just could't get enough of Laser. Hope you are feeling better - perhaps it is the tablets & just need getting used too. Did the pylon fall in the rain? How big is the home stay ? Is there a lounge T.V & what food are you eating. What do you eat for breakfast? xxxx
Sylvia Brookes Hi Suz just to let you know we are away now until 22nd Aug we are going to Belgium. Hope all continues to go well. Love Sylviaxx
dad Hi Suz had a nice meal at v/park Latchford (at the place mum was born) Hope you are feeling better, getting used to pills I mean. Love Dad xxxx
Suzanne hi Glad you had a nice meal for anniversary. Send my love to Daisy if you see her. Is this Carol and Alan Bunn as was a little confused as different Carol's followed in each sentence. How is laser. Glad she had a good time with Issy. Missing you all. Probably is the tablets. Nope pylon cables are just like that naturally I think. Think its 3 bedrooms, 2 lounges, balcony, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen but don't go in all the rooms. Hostesses sister lives on floor below. I spend quite alot of time in the bedroom I am in. Looking forward to leeds students coming as getting slightly lonely even though theres some nice people at institute. There is a TV in lounge but don't tend to properly watch it as hostess as it on and its all in Bengali/ Hindu and I just start to understand the story and the channel gets flicked. There is a tv in my room but its not working. There is talk of making it work. Food tend to have cereals for breakfast which is not good for my iron levels but toast rounds on top of all the chipattis at night makes me feel sick. Having trouble keeping dinner down last two days. Don't feel like I've stopped eating since I arrived even though have. Have a fab time in Belgium Sylvia. Glad you had a nice meal Dad. Just had army, police and posh car go past internet parlour window. Must be an important person. Its not like the sort of escorts we get at home though. Love from Suzanne xxx Sylvia Brookes Hi Suz just to let you know we are away now until 22nd Aug we are going to Belgium. Hope all continues to go well. Neil and Joan Hello again Wonder Woman, As we look out on our green garden and prepare to walk down the lane to the village shop we think how very boring our "blog" sounds to the exciting adventure you have undertaken. If you could film it all it would make a great T.V story. We also look forward to you making us all a great curry when you arrive home. Look forward to more news. Take care . Lots of Love. Neil and Joanxx
Suzanne Hi Well doubt I will be able to cook anything. Believe it or not this is a condensed blog compared to the one I am writing in my journal. Still missing Antrobus despite all the excitement of Kolkata. Take care too. xxx
