Alright so my first week in Rome has been the experience to say the least. To begin with, we had class on Thursday and Friday. Thursday went pretty successfully, however on Friday going to my first class didnt work out so well for me and my two other roomies, Jordan and Kasey. This is our on-site class where we have to meet the class at different places throughout Rome. Whoever thought that we could make it to these places was not thinking at all haha. We ended up getting lost for 3 hours and didnt show up for class until 11 15 (class ended at 11). We called our professor on his cell phone and he told us to meet him at some monument that we had no idea where that was. However, we asked around and finally found it! He marked us PRESENT for the whole class =) Doesnt get much better than that! We took videos of us getting lost on my flip camera and will upload those soon.

We planned on going to Venice this weekend, but it was supposed to rain both days. So we are going to go next weekend. I am so excited to ride in the gondolas. Who wouldn't right?

So instead of going there we stayed in Rome and toured the city. We went to Via del Corso which is a LONG road with shops and places to eat. Jordan, Kasey and I had a lot of fun and I am embarrassed to say this, but we ate at Burger King haha. I can only have so much pasta and Burger King was a great break from the pasta and pizza.I bought lots of clothes and souvenir type things. I can't believe it that my first weekend is over already.

Today we are going to do some homework and cook an Italian dinner with the roomies. We have our first full week of school tomorrow. Yuck! I keep forgetting that I actually have to do work here. Hope all is well back at home and have a great memorial weekend!!
