Got up half late today... Would have been 7.30 but coz of daylight savings it was later. Had beeline and was going to go to see changing of the guards before moving hotel but had run out of time so went straight to Russell square to check into the royal national. It was only about 11.30 though when we got there so put our bags in storage in the contiki basement... Sooo annoying carrying mine up and down stairs. There's so many and hardly no where has lifts. Anyway we then went to the London tower and got a closer look at London bridge. Was pretty cool imagining ppl living there. Lots of history and displays in there. The crown jewels were also pretty impressive. They were in a vault with the thickest walls. We saw a lady hanging her washing out on the out skirts ofthe palace. Would be cool to live there. Wish they actually had water around the castle for the moat though not just grass even though it was still cool. Heaps of armour on display too. We were there 3 or more hours so had lunch in the cafe there. Was pretty yum we shared a plate of some sort of corned ham meat or something with roast potatoes (which were like flo's) and roast carrots and spinach an a Yorkshire pudding for 8 pound 95. It was pretty big and filled us up. Then it was half late so we went to find a shopping centre to buy batteries and a new bag. Took us a while, like it did to travel everywhere today because Half the train lines were closed or partially closed because of rail upgrades for the Olympics next year. We got there about 4.45 so quickly got some stuff and went back to check in. We re packed our bags and decided what we wouldn't take on contiki and put in a separate bag to leave for longstay at the basement then went down for our 7 o clock meeting. Met most of the tour ppl and went for drinks till midnight or so and went to bed. The ppl are pretty nice. I like the most the twins laddie an Leah and their friend Emma
And a girl elEisha who's on with her brother Tyson. Haven't met them properly yet though or talked to everyone.
