Woke up a few times throughout the night but it was a free day in Istanbul so we decided to sleep after last night. We got up at about 1pm and got ready. Went to collect laundry which cost me 50 Turkish lira because I had so much. That's about $25 I think. We then went and got some spinach pastry for breakfast which was pretty nice and went on to the hagia Sophia. Not sure why it was on my list but it was. It was different to the others for some reason and I really liked it. We didn't spend much time in there though and walked back home from there stopping at a few shops on the way. It was funny when we went past a man who called put to us that he had 'decent coffee' not good just decent. He then said he also had decent pomegranate juice that wasn't made in china. So random. Billie got a sword and I got mum a plate with Turkish calligraphy on it and some bracelets. We got home and I had another Kip because I was still tired for some reason. We then headed to the Turkish baths with a few others at 5pm. It was absolutely amazing. I want to go back to turkey just to get another one. We went in and had to undress and get in a towel/ sheet thing and the undies they gave us and then were taken into a room that looked like it was from some ancient movie about rich people back in the day. It was circular and had a raised circle stone in the middle. Te floor was all heated and like a sauna room. We had to lay on the rock on our towels with the other 20 or so topless ladies and wait for one of the ladies stationed around the edge to call us. The roof was cool and was like a dome with circles and stars cut out so light could slightly come in. When they called you to the edge you put your towel out and lay down an the lady got your scrubber and scrubbed up and down your entire body before you turned over an sat up for her to scrub other places. was so relaxing and I wish someone would bath me everyday. Then layed back down and got covered in bubbles and scrubbed again before she took you into one of the little rooms around the edge with 3 little marble sinks in them. You then sat between her legs and she washed your hair and poured water over you with a little metal bowl from the sink water. Was so refreshing and you got pretty used to being topless after a while. She then sent you to the jacuzzi room where you sat in one of two cute little pools that were 36 and 38 degrees. Was so nice but after a whole got a bit hot. You then moved back to a little side room and tipped hot or cold water from the sinks over yourself. We went from there to a little room and got a new dry and heated towel to sit in to wait for a massage. We headed upstairs to the oil massage where they did every part of you front and back. It was rough and hurt at times but was generally awesome. Went and had a shower to wash the oil off and then waited for them to put a face mud mask on. It was nice and once it dried I had another shower before getting back into our clothes and heading to the sports bar where a few ppl were going. We got there and finally got a steak which was soo good but woulda been better with garlic. From there Billie and a few ppl went to a shisha bar but I headed home to relax and pack my bag before bed.
