Overslept because my alarm was still on Egypt time and had to rush to get to the bus for the long drive. we drove for a while before catching a ferry just after crossing the boarder to the Asian side of turkey to canakkale. We went from there to a guided tour of the ruins o Troy and to see a wooden horse replica. It was pretty cool but very windy and cool. We went back on the ferry then to the European side of turkey and kept traveling towards our hotel where we had dinner before going to galipolli. it was a nice dinner and we also got changed there into warm clothes. We got to the campsite and found a spot mostly all together in the grandstand. It wasn't too cold at first so we went to look for coffee with lizard and got cheap singlets. We also got a free Gallipoli bag at the gate with an info book, beanie, badge and a few other things in it. It was pretty cool. We went back to our seats and got in our sleeping bags before it was too cold. The seats had low backs and were pretty uncomfortable to sleep in and Pete had gotten on the ground in thefloor of the chairs so I joined him as I assumed it would be warmer and comfier. It was alright comfy and I brought a travel pillow that I bought earlier at the Greece duty free shop before crossing into turkey. The ground was just wooden planks though and my sleeping bag did nothing to stop the cold. it was pretty squishy in next to Pete too but a bit warmer at least. Woke up so many times of you could even say I got to sleep. It must have been below freezing I'm sure. it was the longest night ever.
