Little did we know this was Jakota and Natassia's home living grounds so they knew the area well to say the least.
We were in the area for some time to be honest. While in the concert, Jeremy (from bus) was arrested for innocently playing with num-chucks in the lot (as he very often does and is very well practiced in many similar arts, minding his own business btw and not a threat to anyone in any way, with wide space around him for safety as always). But, too near police harassing some other kids. Wrong place, wrong time. He was taken and arrested and charged, on the spot. With his court date in a few days time, natuarlly, we wated for him.
We spent much of our nights in what I thought was a pretty cool little place. Unsure of it's actual location honestly, there was a park surrounding a very pretty and natuarl swamp. Paths for joggers were heavy with traffic in the mornings. But we were safely hidden behind bushes and tall grass. I liked sleeping here. Able spread out, away from the others. We spent much time at night hanging out and discussing the concert, gossiping about the crew and highlighting our adventures and my lessons so far. Allowing time to grow closer to my man, whom introduces me as his wife to every new person we meet.
(Although this is a little white lie, I am greatful for it. It creates a solid barrier in our relationship to others whom we don't know well. Securing that we are serious and I do not get harrassed nearly as often because of this. It also provides confidence and reassurance for each other too. Knowing and saying, that someday, this well be the case if we have anything to say about it, in which we have every say.)
I liked the area and we never did get harrassed by police for hanging out on the sidewalk endulging in wine, or for sleeping in the park. I liked this. We stayed there a number of nights and it grew to be a place to call home for a few minutes, which I could appreciate very easily in my "noob" (aka noobie) state.
I will add that we did indeed aquire the information about Jeremy to actually attend his court date. Yes. All 17, no, 16 with out him, of the crew and both of the dogs ("service dogs") invaded the court room for his hearing! It took quite a while for us to go through security clearing, with all the metal we had on us including dreads with beer caps and lighter heads, studs and staples for patches on our clothes. And yes, we all crammed in the room to light up Jeremy's day.
He was indeed released with agreement, only with the destruction of his chucks as the mood killer for him. That night we greated him back into the carivan with a big family celebration and cheers. We couldn't be more excited to have him back and be able to continue our adventure to Hardly Strickly in San Fran, an adventure I am not likely to ever forget, along with the intrusion of the court room for Jeremy. :)
