Further (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furthur_(band)) " rock band founded in 2009 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh." In short. The last living members of the Grateful Dead.
I had been hearing a lot about "lot" (outside the concert, where many people hang out in the parking lot) and the people there that tour with the band for a living. I heard much about Greatful Dead history, etc. for days and weeks before this event. I was anxious and excited for this day, really for some live music and another chance to prove myself by getting into the concert.
Ariving with no ticket, the day of the concert, we were all anxious and attempting to make friends and resources right away. The towns folk also excited, and seeing all the many tye-dye and rep shirts around with smiling faces was great enough.
We met up with the Bus, containing the other members of our carivan (to me, this was the other half of the 17 mammels that went to Barter Faire in Idaho the previous month with).
Including: our real live pirate brother Jacota (about as close to a live Jack Sparrow as possible, honestly), his two amazing dready rainbow children Isis and Elija Ray and wife Natassia, then Savvy, Jeremy, Sharief and new to us, Jakota's younger brother and girl friend Carmen and Daven (loved them btw)!
After waiting and around becoming somewhat let down, unsure of how to get in, but some 'determined' feelings inside, finally Jakota told us to put up our f***ing finger in the air and walk around and talk to family. Giving us some liquid courage (free beer), we went about the trial and before long, had a ticket and enough raised money to buy one at the front! We were going in!
After the others got theirs, we entered with Livia, Jordan and Savvy. Soon after getting in it was intermission. So we found a place to sit in the lawn area together (only to be quickly left behind by our other members). Alone for the concert with a view of the stage so far up, with the view of the live video screens ahead showing upclose image of the concert below. Happy and content to dance and cuddle and memorate just the two of us. Bowden and I. Only to realize this was our first concert to attend together!
I was amazed at how many of the songs were actually framiliar! I felt at home. I felt alive. I felt blessed and confident. And I felt beautiful, surrounded by friendly fellow family beings in the love of the moment of the amazing music, great messages and peaceful yet always exiting atmosphere.
The night wasn't over but it was a the most excitement I've had in a live music setting in my entire life. :) I memory and a brag right I'll never let down. :)
