This place is beautiful! There's not a lot more to be said. Yet another part of Vietnam which is breathtaking, this country is amazing! Hoi An is so different to everywhere I've been so far though, the streets are lined with french style houses and cobbles and through the middle runs a beautiful river with lanterns that float on it and lined by palm trees. Just ten minutes out of town there is an amazing beach full of local vietnamese people who are more than happy to provide you with a bamboo mat and a cold beer or anything else you could want. We came here for two nights but tonight will be my fifth! Some people left a few days ago but there's still a couple of us who cant quite bring ourselves to leave yet. By day the place is sleepy and hot, coffee bars and tailors line the streets and you can sit at a restaurant by the river all day and watch the world go slowly by. At night the street sellers come out and the lantern shops turn on their power turning the whole scene into something similar to a fairytale land! Honestly, words and pictures just can't capture this place, I think it may have beaten Luang Prabang!
I am however dragging myslef away tomorrow, gonna head down the coat 7 hours to a place called Quy Nhon, I'm passing the sight of the My Lai massacre and hoping the bus will stop off there so I can pay my respects. Going solo for a while as of tomorrow, fiona had to head to Ho Chi Minh to get back to Bangkok for her flight and Paul is buying a second hand minsk today and gonna drive his way down the coast, were thinking we can meet up in most places though but we'll see how it goes. Im cool about being on my own, your never alone here, all the travellers look after one another and as long as your sensible about who you trust your pretty safe.
Anyway, I've updated loads of photos so have a gander! Much love to all! xxxxx
