Good to know you're safe and still having fun, but was that bout of sickness due to the boat trip or the drinking games I wonder??? Hue is a name that resonates with us children of the sixties (like Hanoi and Saigon), but Vietnam - as you already understand - has a long and somewhat "chequered" history so I expect Hue will be a great experience. There's a line from a Beatles song (In My Life) that goes: "there are places I'll remember all my life, though some have changed; some forever, not for better, some are gone, but some remain..." I guess that just about sums things up - enjoy what remains; don't spend too long mourning what doesn't; have fun, but be alert. That's what the world needs - more lerts. XXX
