We haven't really been up to much since just about managing to get on the plane back from Easter Island, apart from drinking all the really cheap Chillean wine. The hostel is so relaxed and the people are so friendly and helpful, Katherine has a soft spot for one called Mario who helped us find a half day trek into the Andes. We've met loads of really nice people here, although the diference in sense of humour from ours to an American girl we met did prove a little interesting when she was asking us for some English slang words. We have not just spent out time drinking and hanging around the hostel, we have seen some of the city, we went on a wine tour yesterday. Have been trekking in the Andes today and our guide Gill was nuts! for some lunch time entertainment he decided to climb up the rock face with no ropes! He knew his stuff and we had a really good day even though it was scary in parts with no clear path and LOTS of loose rocks. There's not really much to see here but it's so chilled out it's great! Our flight for NZ leaves tonight (weds) and arrives on Friday.
Take care
