Oh my god this place is amazing!!!!! If you ever get the chance come here it´s so beautiful and everyone is so friendly. We are staying with a family and they met us at the airport with flower garlands etc, the guest house is really nice although there is a small issue with bugs in particular cochroaches!!! There was a dead one in the room on arrival but that was ok as it was dead. I was in the toilet on the second day when I saw something fall from the roof and it was a cochroach! So I moved the bath mat and it went running into the main bedroom, we then spent the next twenty minutes sitting on our beds trying to figure out who´s bed it was under and it was mine but I have now found a new use for my Birkenstock as it squashed it real good. Katherine also had a lizzard on her pillow which then spent the rest of the night on the floor. Despite this we are having a really good time.

We´ve did a tour of the island which was good and we learnt loads, we trekked up to Orongo village (one of the three hills on the island) where we encountered our first Smith strop, I have a great picture which I´ll hopfully put on shortly, but overcame it with a rest and a cookie. It took us three hours to get to the top but it was worth it, you could see the whole island. We also have gone scuba diving as the water here is one of the clearest in the world, saw lots of fish it was so cool.

On our last day the lady we were staying with asked if she could exchange something we us for something she had seen in our room, which turned out to be my bra!!!!! What do you do in those sorts of situations? I gave it her as it was only a cheap one from Asda and I can buy another but it was an odd situation, Katherine thought it was hilarious she couldn´t stop laughing. After th bra thing we found out that we only had 20 minutes to pack as the plane had arrived TWO hours early!!!!!! We had unpacked all our stuff and everything, but we made the plane and have just arrived in Santiago.
