After the excitment of 1770 and the scooter roos we headed to Hervey Bay where me and smith parted company for the firat time since we left the green, green grass of home this was because the legned that is Mr R (my dad) was in the land down under for business so I flew down to meet him and boy did i get spoilt! It was really good seeing dad after all this time away, there were a few tears, but best of all he bought me a package from home containing quavers and jammie dodgers! You may be wondering what Katherine got up to whilst i was back in sydney, well her pensioner boyfriend/boss flew up to 'entertain' her for the weekend so she wasn't all alone.
When I got back to Hervey Bay we caught the beloved greyhound down to Rainbow beach to meet our tour group for the Fraser Island trip. Before meeting any tour group you have images that it's going to be a really bad group but we had a really good group we all got on really well. The first day we drove to lake McKenzie and tried to form a human pyramid as it would make a really good picture but we couldn't hold it long enough. There was lots of drunken merriness in the evenings mainly involving burring things/people and seeing how long you can spin around looking at the stars without falling over. The second day we drove up to India Head where you could see tiger sharks swimming in the bay and the day we left we went to the other lake on the island which you have to trek for MILES to get to and it's not even that nice.
Had a really good time on Fraser and even got to eat some fresh fish that one of the lads caught and didn't get eaten by Dingos which is always nice.
After Fraser we went to Noosa and Australia Zoo where we had our picture taken with a real life koala! Steve Irwins face is still everywhere which is a bit odd, a guy even dresses up as him and you can have your picture taken with him! The koala dug his claws in that much i now have a scar! I was expecting the zoo to be bigger but still had a really good day.
From Noosa we went straight to Byron bay where we had a massive coco pops fight with a guy that looks like Chesney Hawkes and chilled out before we headed back to sydney. Byron is a really lovely place and so chilled out, it's great.
I went to saty back at the terraces when we got back to Sydney I got a few weeks in temping and Katherine went back to the pub. The girls I lived with were really nice and we got up to lots of mischief whilst katherine was off with the pensioner. We went the Hunter Valley and drank lots of wine and went to palm beach which is where they film home and away but didn't see Alf Stuart.
