Arrived in auckland the night before christmas eve..was so nice getting back to a city after 2 weeks of constant sand. christmas eve, we went for a walk about..brought ourselves a few 'christmas pressies' althought thats really just an excuse for buying some clothes becuase they are pretty cheep out here. the weather is sunny but a bit breezy..which is quite nice actually. we went to the globe bar which is underneith our hostel for some all you can eat pizza for $10..i dont think we got our moneys worth but still..

Christmas day... i woke up nice and early even though there was nothing to do..phoned home to speak to everyone..made me really homesick..but nat brought be a hot chocolate and we watched some movies..we had planned to go out to explore a bit but it was raining so we cut that trip short and came back to watch more films and had our christmas dinner of beans and cheese on toast..actually really nice. so far nothing has been that eventful..we are here in auckland till the 11th of jan..and as we are still on fiji time (lazy) we are just taking it easy really. we have a few things planned but are in no rush..we are going to go to some artic animal thing..and some islands a ferry ride away..so that will be nice. so im sure my next post will be more interesting once weve actually done some exciting things. for now..

I washed all my clothes on christmas eve..and a few things didnt like the tumble dryer so have shrunk beyond recognision..so il have to throw them away. im not very good at all this washing stuff yet. im sure il be a wizz at it by the time im home though.
