I'll start with the journey here.. We left Sydney for Bangkok in the evening, so arrived into Bangkok around 11:30pm.. After going through all the customs and baggage areas like little zombies we went straight to the check in area.. Bangkok airport is massive and cold.. We were flying out at 9am..which meant we had a good 9 hours to kick about with.. so we pulled our luggage up to a nice row of metal seats and got out the pillow and blanket we stole off our quantas flight.. I didnt think i'd be able to sleep but i got about 4 hours here and there although when i woke up i had a metal seat imprinted on me and felt like id fallen out of a plane.. but the time passed wathcing the cluster of monks potter about and watching the flight attendents choosing their noodles (we were outside the little shop).....so that was the night in the airport..
Arrived into Singapore midday and nats family met us at the airport and brought us back to the house.. its weird being in a house again.. Its a lovely big house and we have spent a few days just being lazy and watching loads of films.. So we had one day where we crammed in all the sights.. theres not too much to see here so it didnt take long.. Little India, China town, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and we went for a drink in Raffles.. A famous hotel but id never heard of it..where the floor was covered with penut shells and known as the penunt bar as people dropped all the shells..it was a bit like walking through a hamster cage.
We all went out for a meal on our last night.. had a MASSIVE meal..we were all so full so decided to walk it off by walking to Ruffels.. on our walk along the river.. we spotted a Reverse bungy.... we couldnt resist.. even though we had literally just stopped eating about 10 minutes before hand.. we had to have a go! So we got strapped into this round cage with racing seats in...and got flung up 60 metres into the air.. then had about 2 minutes of bouncing up and down upside down.. Cant say i'd recommend doing a reverse bungy.. or any type of bungy straight after eating.. but your only in singapore once..so we had to.
Today (our last day) we went to a cable ski park..where everyone goes to wakeboard.. instead of being pulled along by a boat in a massive lake.. you got pulled along by a cable.. So we gave wakeboarding a go.. started off by mastering the knee board.. took me quite a few goes to be able to turn..but after 2 hours ...and a LOT more swallowed water..i managed to get round the whole track..i was so happy..im never good at watersports.. now we are just getting ready to leave for the airport.. For Phuket, Thailand...i hope the weather is better than here.
