Been a few days since my last blog due to travelling etc…
Our last day in Morocco was quite emotional - one last yoga session, last time down at K17 surfing and had to say goodbye to Lola my new pet dog from the beach whom I have officially adopted and named.
Then came the time to say adios to the people whom we had shared the villa with for the past week. It's strange how quickly you get on with people in such a short space of time when you're sharing so many memorable experiences. We were down to the final 6 but still managed to grab a coffee in tagazout and some well-earned French fries, which after a week of healthy eating tasted amazing!
After that it was back to Gatwick, another night in the Travelodge and then a car to Heathrow.
We finally made it to Bangkok after 2 flights, a quick stop in Dubai and 24 hours of the most horrendous stomach bug I've ever had - guess that's all part of the back packing lifestyle! Arrived at our hostel (the Koh San Baan Thai) which is a quaint little tail house. We have our own room but have to share toilet and bathing facilities. I knew this time would eventually come but I'm not sure I'm prepared - I'll just have to pretend I'm back at Uni again!
Got the essentials sorted such as WiFi and then we hit the streets of Bangkok in search of some traditional Thai street cooking. We weren't disappointed! Even though we thought we were somewhere else the food was still amazing. I went for a broth due to my unsettled stomach and Mel had pad Thai Then it was a saunter back to the hostel to plan the next few days
Mel popped downstairs for some tourism leaflets but she's been gone a while… best go and make sure Bangkok doesn't have her!!!!!
