3RD AUGUST 2007
Gday homelanders
Just updating you from Noosa heads. So got here on wednesday at 1300 booking ourselves into the YHA hostel from the bus. We made a good choice asits the nearest to the beach, shops and bus station. Also its very nice, amassive beach house pearched on top of a hill. Its set in two acres with huge trees so was woke up by loads of lorikeets (parrots) and cockatoos. Also got a balconyoutside our room with tables. We are in another four bedded dorm with two sets of bunks, me and Paul both on a top bunk each which i like because nobody can see us up the top when we are in bed. One dormy is a wierd ozzy who is annoying and theother is a bloke from Vancover who is really cool but checked out this morning and hasnt been replaced, yay!
So got here, got changed and went out. Went to the surf club for lunch, right on the beach. We sat on the balcony overlooking the beach which was a very cool view. Sunbathed after that, was abit cold in the wind so didnt go in for a dip! Afterwards had a walk through the m,ain shopping street, Hastings street. This was very nice, its the posh area of Noosa so lots of cool shops. At night had dinner at the hostel, roast night, $10 each (4 pound) and was very nice. Had a walk intown to find some bars but couldnt find any sio came back and played table tennis.
Thursday got up bright and early for our 0830 zoo courtesy hour bustrip to Steve Irwins zoo. Had a good day and was very very hot, got atiny bit red but colour is good! Fed the elephants, patted the koalas, walked amongst and patted the kangaroos and watched all the shows inclus\ding the crocoldile show (obviously minus the croc hunter). They are constantly talking about him as he was obviously a huge part of the zoo. Its a bit much in the shops though with his face over everything, had a really good day! At night had another hostel bargain dinner, very nice, then had ice cream on the beach.
Today have just been on a 3 hour 7km walk through Noosa national park, view were so cool, took the coastal route. Its meant to be habitated by 2000 koals but didnt see one! Was made up by the fact that saw a pod of about 15 dolphins near the shore jumping out very cool!!!
So in a mo we are off for lunch at the lovely surf club and then got a 4.5 coach trip to Hervey bayto start our Fraser island trip on Saturday finishing monday night, should be cool!
Havinga great time so far, hostels are cool, places are cool and having loads of fun!
Hope you are all cool, speak after Fraser island, hopefully will get some of my photos put on tonight!
LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL LOADS LAURA AND PAULXXXXXXXXXX
