DAY TWO WEDNESDAY 22ND NOVEMBER
Hi everyone, computer keeps crashing which isnt good and this is my third attempt, yesterday was jam packed. After waking up too late for breakie walked to jade market which was about a thirty min walk through the assortment of smells. Wasnt very impressed, probably cause i dont like the colour, although its meant to be very lucky so maybe i will still get some. Then got the underground to the Wong tai sin temple which from what i can gather, the locals shake numbered bamboo sticks until one falls out and then they have their answer to their question. It was a very nice place although we didnt shake or burn any sticks. We then went to the harbour front which is a much much nicer part of Hong Kong, lots of posh hotels and designer shops. Went to look for som boots and clothes as i have left my boots and my two new tops at home but couldn find any although Paul got himself a nice jumper. Went to Ted baker but dont think clothes are the same. It was alll nice and christmasy in the mall ad they were playing chritmas tunes which was nice. We also went tiffanys as i deceided that i had right since i had their ring on although it was more expensive than home We then got the famous star ferry over to HK island which was abit choppy but sights were nice. Then came our marathon walk, I had on my itinery that i wanted to go to the botanical gardens well that was a huge trek up a vertical hill, we did however see a nice xmas tree on the way and the area was much nicer with lots of impressive scrapers. Typically the gardens wernt great, the highlight was the pink flamingos, there was a jaguar that was hiding and a python but that was it. Paul then went flying on his bum down the steps which once i had realised he hadnt broke his back was hilarious. We then got the tram up Victoria peak as it was just getting dark and the views of the harbour are meant to be amazing. The tram was or rather the hill was very steep but we made it. We went up lots of escolators to go to the hightest view point and when we went outside couldnt see a bloody thing due to mist, not good. Went inside, where there were shops and a free large console area which Paul enjoyed for the short time i could stand being in there. Went for a drink at the bar of a posh restaurant that looked like a xmas hansel and gretal house although the food wasnt in our budget. Didnt get back till 8 and went out to harbour, had dinner in a hotel restaurant overlooking harbour although it wasnt cheap enough for my likings then went to the posh felix bar in the penninsula hotel which had good views but had blindds up which were strange, the bar was tiny and seats very uncomfortable, beer was cheapest at 4 pound but i had to have someting more lady like, a blue cosmo for 8 pound so only stayed for one. Had walk round Hong Kong harbour which is amazing at night although our photos dont do it justice. That was our day, finding hard to write brief but now have to rush as have got another funfilled day planned. Will write again if my computer doesnt crash too much. LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL
