We got up and had breakfast and decided to make our way up to Christchurch today so it gave us more time to get there and perhaps stop somewhere for tonight on the way. I actually drove the camper for the first time today for a couple of hours, once I got my head around not having a clutch it was ok! We stopped for some petrol and got a drink in a cafe in this tiny little town in the middle of no-where and when we set back off I quickly and luckily realised we were on the wrong road and going the wrong way or we could have been going for ages in the wrong direction! As it was getting dark we stopped in a town for a subway as Adam was starving so he got a sub, we decided to head straight to Christchuch tonight so that we had the whole day tomorrow. We got in to Christchurch about 7ish and tried to find the campsite which was a struggle. We decided to stop at a supermarket so I could get some credit and use google maps to find the campsite, I was starving by this point too so I got a Burger King from next door to the supermarket! We got a few bits from the supermarket too to push us on for the next two days. We eventually found the campsite and checked in, Adam asked how long it takes to get in to the town and the woman told him that there isn't anything in town anymore, everything is closed down and being pulled down as a result of the earthquakes!! We just watched a DVD and had a chilled night.
