Right so after a really long flight and 6 hours time difference, we arrived in Bangkok completley knakered, we soon realised Bangkok wasnt for us. We decided a bit of retail therapy was needed so we hit the shops, followed by chocolate and ice cream can just say it was much needed. That night we went out for dinner and had drinks on the main hustling bustling street and headed to bed. We decided to book ourselves onto an organised three week trip to see the real Thailand and then spent the rest of the day looking around the Grand Palace, the most ornaite building ever. That night we went to see a ping pong show.....which was errrrrr interesting to say the least, dont think we need to say much more on that one.
The next day our trip started taking us to Kanchanburi, which gave the impression it was going to be really unorganised. However it turned into a brilliant day, we visited the floating markets, World war gallery, train ride across Death bridge and ended with us having dinner at our accomodation which was a floating house on the river. We met some new people and really enjoyed our stay.
The following morning we had a ride down the river on a bamboo raft, got dropped off in a random village and left there which lead to an elephant ride around the countryside. Then in the afternoon we visited the famous 415km railway museum built in world war II by the prisoners of war, got completly lost along the trail but overall brilliant day and learnt a lot, especally to never listen to 'the geography kid' (thank you laura). That afternoon after a delicious local lunch we visited a small waterfall and then headed to Tiger Temple, which was shocking and nothing like what we expected, lets just say we werent thrilled with this place. After a long journey that night we arrived in Ayutthaya- beautiful, here we visited a life times worth of temples but was good fun.
We are now heading to Chang Mai for the next part of the trip. Love to everyone back home. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
