Hiiiiiiiii everybody, ok so we will admit that the trip continues to show we are officially alcoholics lol :D.
Victoria falls was awesome......We arrived to the smallest main street we have seen in the world consisting of fast food shops and bars, we could tell we were going to like this place hehe. After a ver messy first night we hit the falls with a huge hangover!! they were AMAZING!!! We literally ate and drunk until the following afternoon when we had to face the gorge swing OMG. Jumping 70m off the side of a cliff is terrifying and has scared us for life. That evening we went to trendy restaurant called Bowma where we got dress up in tradition clothes and had our face painted (after laura gaining the nick name warthog the painting on her face was perfect LOL). After tasting traditional homebrew and munching our way throug crocodile tail, kudu, borewore, and other exotic animals we were then let lose on the drums- too much fun. After that excitment we stepped up the class ladder and headed for high tea (afternoon tea) very posh with a beautiful view.
Botswana- Newbies already settled in and we sat on a boat on the Choebe River and was surrounded hundreds of elephants and other wildlife. The following day we set off for the Okovanga Delta..... a two bush camp on the delta including romantic boat ride and sunset cruise for two and a so called safari walk (lets just say we werent particularly impressed!) until the last night when we were made to dance like frogs and laura and matt did an entertaining scooby doo remix with the dinosaur song ..... different to say the least!!! A relaxing night back on main land ended in us learning the traditional tribal dance which includes sticking our bum and boobs out and shaking our knees whilst howling like a dog... this is the pulling technique, Dickie and Tom your defiantly in for a treat hahahahaha!
Namibia- Crossed the border and stopped in Rundu for a bush camp to see the famous Bowbab tree----- its HUGE!!!! laura's statement of this tree 'is that all, i thought it would be bigger hmmm' never satisfied!!! the next day we drove to Etosha National Park, where we saw many wild animals and all of a sudden a pack of lively lions :D. Basically that evening was us adults staying sobber watching the kids have the first drunken night.... 18 year old fell face first on the floor and 30 year old acted the same and snogged all the young girls :O. Our mature group obviously did not take part and frownedat such behaviour. We then headed to Cheetah park which was crazy.... open top truck and wild cheetah's being fed was defiantly an experience. We then met home kept cheetah's where we got to chill and sit down with them, having our pictures taken... they were beautiful! The next day we headed to Spitzkop, where me, Spanelly (AKA Laura) and Matt went on an adventure...to say the least and climbed up a sheer face cliff and got stuck many times in the cracks was good fun especially with ice cream as a treat when we got back to the truck. Next stop Swakapmund where our sand boarding skills came into practice on the dunes...... tooo fun especially after our encounter with thousands of seals that stunk (laura appreciated the chewed up dead one!). This was an awesome place where we could just chill, and again a lot of food and drink was consumed :D.
A very early morning to watch the sun rise on dune 45 was spectacular, which was finished off with sand fights and races down the dune. We then got back on the road when after hurs of us trying to find where the burning smell was coming from realised that actually it was the truck that was on fire!! Luckily we had some manly men come to the rescure and lil frankie needed shooting as it was his bright idea to put burning wood on the back of the truck in this heat!!!! After a survival drink or two or three on the truck it turned into a party night and the guys went hunting randomly and drunk LOL. The next day we headed to Felix and saw the Fish River Canyon (the 2nd largest in the world) where we took lots of pictures like true tourist. Finally, the last night we would be on the truck and had to say bye to our driver Charles, turned into a messy one where Laura got into her sexy, clashy attire and found herself highly amusing (beautiful sight).
Squishing onto a tiny bus we headed to the South African boarder (only 9 hours to hostel), In Stellenbosh we had a crazy first night which resulted in Derek leaving the trip early (very sad times) but led to an extremely funny and drunken day on our wine tour the following morning and a yummy bbq. slowly saying goodbye to people before hitting Cape Town.
Cape Town- Defiantly an experience... our usual drunk selves along long street before a magical trip to Jungla Festival where we were surrounded by very happy hippies and was all giggles and an awesome end to our trip. OOOH wait we have to mention Laura's driving to the festival and back as we managed to burst a tyre on the main road but safely she got us home safe! A lovely meal and 3 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of champagne later after an emotional good bye we JUST made our flight to Jo'berg.
Jo'berg- a brilliant long weekend where we continued partying with the Grays- bbq, roast dinner, so called celebrities and a chance to meet lots of fun people. Finished off relaxing by the dam and watching andy pissed and attempting water sports (tooo funny).
GOODBYE AFRICA- HELLO ASIA!
