After leaving Vietnam we flew to Bangkok and then got a night train up to a town in the North of Thailand called Chiang Mai. On our first day there we booked to go on a day adventure where first of all we did a 8k bike ride with some amazing scenery and then we got to ride elephants. They said it was fine for 3 of us to ride the elephant together so Beth and Hannah sat in the chair and I got to sit on the elephants neck behind its ears...it was really fun! (Except when the elephant went to eat something and i nearly fell off). After that we went white water rafting where Hannah managed to fall out the raft despite previously claiming no one ever falls out!
On the second day we woke up early and went to tiger kingdom where we got to sit with the tigers and were told it was fine to spoon them...after that we went to see a temple in the mountains which had some great views.
On the third day we went to a Thai cooking class where I learnt to make Massaman curry, chicken fried rice, spring rolls and prawn soup, the food was so filling though! They also gave us our own aprons and a cooking book with all their recipes in...although most of the food can only be bought in the markets we went to in Thailand.
After that we travelling on the night train (which took a solid 18 hours) back down to Bangkok and decided to go on a crazy night out as it was our last night in Asia. We also luckily met some really nice English boys who wouldnt let us buy drinks all night! A drunken decision also meant that there was 8 of us on a tuk tuk travelling to see a ping pong show in the middle of nowhere, word of warning those shows change you as a person!!!
We have absolutely loved Asia and did not want to leave, the people, the place everything has been incredible!!!!!
