Alice caved in and brought a new phone from K-Mart in Bundaberg, so hopefully this one won't break. I thought we had plenty of time to get to the 2 pm briefing for tomorrow's Fraser Island trip (which ended up being postponed until 4.30 pm anyway) but we got there with only about 20 minutes to spare. This would be fine had I not have somehow managed to drive out of a car park, and get the trailer peg of another car wedged in between the wheel and the wheel cover, so that I couldn't reverse or drive forward. Luckily, some mechanics were around who took off the trailer peg and directed me how to drive out without hitting anything else.
We made use of the spare time we had to do some washing and charge our electrical devices, and then headed to the next hostel along for our briefing. We got put into groups- we were group B and I was surprised that 8 people could fit in one 4WD car, as well as our bags. There were 3 German guys- Niilo, Alex and Max- who liked to talk about sport and football a lot, Miriam, an Austrian girl who seemed quite chatty and nice, and a French couple Marine and Roma who were really cute. We had to watch a DVD about how to drive on the sand and Dingo safety, and then got onto the important stuff like what we were going to eat and ordering alcohol!
