Well today is my last day in Xela. It feels quite strange because I´ve been here for 2 months now and it´s starting to feel like home. I´ll be saying goodbye to the friends I´ve made here and get back in to the rhythm of moving from place to place every few days... I´m excited about what´s ahead but also a little sorry to say goodbye.
So next up for me will be a trip to the capital to renue my visa... the 90 day visa you get when you enter guatemala also counts for el salvador, honduras and nicaragua so as this is coming to an end I need to get it extended... it seems crazy to think i´ve been in Guatemala almost 3 months! That´s twice as long as I´d planned! ...then after Grot City I´ll be retracing my steps around guatemala a little so that I can see the things I was too sick to enjoy when I arrived with amoebas on board! So I´ll be going to back to Antigua, Cobán and Tikal. Then I´m off to Rio Dulce and Livingston on the Caribbean coast... then I´m off to Honduras to meet the lovely Carmen and see what adventures are to be found there.
Ok I also have some news... I´ve just moved my flight home to 1st Feb 2008! I´m afraid I´m enjoying myself far too much to come home in 3 months time! So I´ll be in Central America until the end of August I think and then about 4 months in South America... I hope that my budget holds out but if it doesn´t I´m sure it will be great spanish practice to sell my kidneys on the black market!! Hehe!
Love yous all.
