We spent two nights in Etosha National park at the Halali camp in the middle. there were plenty of animals to see. Springbok in their 100's and Impala. elephants and Giraffe and Zebra all over. We found three lions at a water hole who were keeping the giraffe, zebra and springbok at bay until an elephant came along and forced the lion to the other side allowing all the rest of the smaller animals to drink! We spent our time between the three camps in the park swimmig in the pools and relaxing (It was very very hot and dusty).
The camp had a man made water hole flood light at night so we spent a few hours each evening watching a herd of 21 elephants with some very little babies perhaps only 6 months old drinking. There were also three black rhino drinking and some Jackals and a couple of Hyena too. The bats were also circling much to Kenan's delight! Because it is very dry at the moment the animals were altogether near the only avaliable water sources so we had the opportunity to see lots of different species together instead of all in seperate groups! no lepard though sadly. We had a great few days although Simon (who is also english) and myself made a poor show at cricket (as bad as the english 20 20 team) losing 60 nill to Kenan (who is only 10).
