Today we left Botswana and headed for Namibia. Like all the other journeys we had to avoid the numerous animals grazing on the verges, cows and goats are regulars now wandering across the road on a whim, but today we also had to contend with suicide Ostritch! They don't seem to run out of the way like the chickens and we were stopping regularly whilst they ambled across the road! The roads were at least tarmac now so it was faster if very hot progress (Still 30 + degrees everyday). The boarder cossing was a breeze though with no waiting and we stopped for ice cream (Our first for months) in Gobabis. This is a small little town but very much more modern than anything we had seen for a while (There are traffic lights and speed humps! and a bank that accepts switch!) Anyway we stayed overnight heading for Windhoek (Said vin took) the next morning to look for another Landy mechanic as it has developed an odd clonking noise (and he says I'm high maintenance!!!!)
( I will up load the lion photos in the next few days hopefully...) oh and Tim J.P says wait and see ... but to reasure you I haven't changed sides and we aim to find somewhere to watch the match on Fri. I will be cheering ( maybe quietly) for the English
