After that experience we decided to stick to self-drive game drives and left Kasane to bush camp for three days in Chobe. Our first night was at Ihaha, which is by the river. We went for an evening game drive and saw plenty of game all at once as well. There were at least 400 elephant in big groups and tonnes of Zebra and four different antelope. We also saw monkeys, baboons, hippo, crocodile, warthog, giraffe, fish eagles and vultures and a little jackal all together near the river bank. The elephants were all migrating towards Namibia. The photos we have are of a group of them crossing the river! It was quite deep and the little ones were completely submerged in the middle I'm not sure if they just got pushed along by the others with their trunks up to breath!Once at the other bank it took a great effort for the bigger ones to help get the babies up the slope! The babies were all wet and muddy so it was a bit like trying to slide the soap up the side of the bath! The little legs kept slipping on the mud.It was funny but they made it in the end!
