Glad to hear all is ok - have seen Caroline who is now on the plane back to Oz and looking forward to seeing you (but warns that Rory will be strapped to your leg like a limpet!!) Got your message about money and will transfer some when I can get Barclays to work on line. Off now for a busy w/end and to spend more your inheritance (only kidding! We haven't ordered the motorhome yet....). Look forward to seeing the photos soon - have fun in the rest of NZ.
Lots of love

Sounds like you had the opportunity to recharge your batteries and seems like it was at a very opportune moment! Glad Richard could see the positives and reflect on some decisions he has made along life's journey!! Not sure I should be saying this as I am sure you did it but we would like to say thank you to Richard also as it's given you some respite? between adventures.Lovely to catch up on MSN on Sunday lots of love to you both

Many thanks to DishDish for putting up with the blobs this week - I hope they told you how much they appreciated it....we certainly did. Mind you, staying out till 4am and then sleeping all day......isn't that what we used to do when we were not much older than them?!?!?!?! (Seemed to remember it used to involve copious amounts of gin as well). Soooo tempted to hop on a plane last weekend to see you all, but I promised Chris I wouldn't gatecrash his round the world experience (!). Now I want to see NZ top to bottom. Fab pics (apart from the tarantula....thanks, Chrissie - at least I was forewarned by the caption before I opened it up).
Speak soon, many thanks again and keep the news coming.
much love and big hugs

Hi Chris - sent you a long email the other day, in fact, have sent 2 and think they have both gone astray. Caroline is now home so is typing this for me - much quicker!!!
We have been reading your blogs and found them extremely interesting. Great photos as well. We are very envious of your travelling because in our youth, we couldn't go abroad immediately after the war so it was the question of cycling, hiking and staying at youth hostels. I was, however, fortunate in visiting Switzerland illegally over Christmas in 1945 on the back of a couple of US ex servicemen.
C here - your Fiji visit looks great, loads of islands. We have been as well but not to as many islands as you.
Looking forward to seeing you end of June. Have a fab time in NZ, it will be a bit warmer Sydney, I hope but not quite Hawaii and Fiji. But still plenty of booze left in Sydney!!!
