Hi James
Missed you at Ali & Pat's wedding, but thanks for sending the card which was read out by the best man. We all had a great day and will no doubt bore you with photo's on your return. Saving some wedding cake for you. Sounds as if you're having a fantastic time. Take care - see you when you get home.

G'day cobbers!
Love the pics.....it was like looking through our own Ozzie album from 12 years ago: the shot at Bondi (it was just as s.... a day when we were there); the harbour bridge from Rose Bay/Double Bay side; in the car on the bridge. I nearly fell off my chair at the sight of the park bench (sat on that) and the Opera House through the palm trees is the same as a picture we bought out there!!!!! Having finally sidelined Tifibooh with the shot of you both at Nelson sitting on the boardwalk, this has now been replaced this morning by the money shot of the Opera House at Sunset......absolutely stunning!!!!
If you see a Ken Done tee towel, mine has finally given up the ghost, but I love his artwork (even though it's modern). Dad has transferred 1st instalment. Hopefully speak to you 2nt - anjoy the rest of Sydney and have fun. Big love to SBJ, Linus, Rory and Lucy and to you both....on 40 sleeps to Sauzet!

It was great to speak to you yesterday J and to hear you are well.
Loved the video of the bungy jump, but couldn't tell if that was Yoy J or Chris. Whoever it was you were very brave and as mentioned previously you wouldn't get any of us volunteering to throw ourshelves off attached a bit of rope!

Latest political update:
See previous message re MoG changes.....looks as if we are off to dwp (Dept of Work and Pensions), with offices in either Cabinet Office at 22 Whitehall or The Adelphi, near Charing Cross, although still awaiting official confirmation that we are leaving dclg. Peter Hain will be our new SoS if this goes through.
Lovely to talk to you - although I think we will owe Grandpa for the phone bill!! Had a super day with Joanna and the children and the Crumblies, then saw Em, Mike, Jess and Ned - they all send love.
Will try and ring 2mrrw before you leave sunny Sydney but if we don't manage to make contact, have fun and catch up with you soon.

Hi there
Quick political update: GB has taken over as Labour party leader and is due to take over as PM 2mrrw after TB's final PMQs.
Harriet Harman was elected deputy leader by 1% margin - bit of a surprise result, that, as GB and her don't exactly see eye-to-eye and he has gone to great pains to point out that being deputy leader does not automatically make you deputy PM.
Waiting with baited breath to find out if we get a new SoS (please God) and/or if we get moved again under Machinery of Government changes (it must be about time - I've just finished the MoG move I did in Jan from dti to dclg. Wouldn't like to think I'd actually got some time on my hands now)!
Apart from that, not much going on beyond me working my socks off (bare feet testify to that) and lots of wet stuff flooding the place. Dad/Tim and I are singing at the Tower of London tonight (if we get out of our respective offices) for a private concert for BT (who sponsor Parliament Choir so once a year we give them their own command performance). Fortunately with Dad/Tim now being on the steering committee we will get fed as we go to the hospitality reception for the VIPs afterwards.
Hope you have a good trip to Oz and no doubt speak to you before too long. We are in London 2mrrw night; Sussex late Thu night and again Fri night, then home all weekend, so will try and catch up with you at some point.
Harry Potter premiered last night - not sure that SBJ will have the dvd in his collection just yet.
