Hello blog fans.
We have arrived at our next port of call, the wonderful islands of Hawaii and they are mightily impressive (as you can see by the photo, thats about 200 yards from our hostel......) Our last day in NY was quite brief, after getting up at about 6.30 and making our way down to the tube (we had packed the night before) we caught the E train over to Sutphin Blvd and then the Air Train over to Terminal 9 at JFK. As we had planned ahead we arrived a bit early which was lucky as some stupid bint told us we could self check in, without checking our tickets or anything. Amazingly as we weren't first class or had an American Airlines Business card, we couldn't check in by self service so had to queue up again to check in. Price and I managed to get seats that weren't next to each other but we rectified that on the plane. Didn't take much time for the flight to be called and the 6 hour flight over to LA wasn't actually that bad. Flew over the rockies (i had a window seat, Price peered over my shoulder) which were quite impressive and we eventually landed in LA around 3 o'clock (their time, it was about 6 NYC time) Killed time in LAX for 3 hours before catching the connecting flight to Honolulu (which was not like Snakes on a Plane at all!?.....thank fully some would say!) Arrived in Honolulu about 9 ish (NYC time 3 in the morning, remember we had been up since 6.30) and caught a taxi over to our hostel. Met Muhler (we think) from Germany and Rob and Laura from Birmingham and in the next room (its a bit like an appartment) there were three swedish girls. Each room had a spare bed so Price (like the man he is) went and slept in with the 3 girls whilst i took the top bunk over Muhler. Woke up around 9ish this morning and went down for breakfast (or toast and coffee as thats all there was) and then went for a little walk around Wakikki. Spend a couple of hours on the beach until it got a bit too hot and then decided to get some lunch/update you guys on how we are.Â
Rob and Laura had cleared out of the room and a couple walked in, from Bognor. Such a ridiculously small world! Get someone from Walberton next.Â
Anyway, hope you're all well. Will probably decrease the amount of Blogs this week as it is a week of laziness, sitting on the beach mainly. So expect to hear from us in a couple of days or so.
Much Love
