Today was my second official day of work, so busy but everything so far has been fun! Working with the younger ones today from 9 to noon me and another counselor have the club of performing arts, and on Friday the kids get to show the rest of the camp what they have been doing. Our group is all girls (no shocker there) haha but since we have an AWESOME karaoke set up in our room the girls have decided to sing the song "we are family" from the "that's so raven" CD and started putting together dance moves with it, which was absolutely adorable.
After lunch with the little ones I got transported to the Zama Teen Center where I played fooseball with one of the girls, and then one of the boys wanted to watch the movie footloose (which was actually pretty good)
Other than my work day, Japan is have a crazy Typhoon right now! My very first typhoon ever pretty exciting! coming home from the teen center me and the other counselors had the bus driver drop us off in front of our house because of how crazy the weather is, and there's like this hill to get up to our door so my roommate/coworker Kristen makes her way up and her foot gets completely stuck in the mud it reminded me of being in the movie jumanji because it looked like hard quicksand! Haha I couldn't stop laughing. There has been so many funny moments that I wished I could have video taped.
On the more serious note: Sitting in my room sounds like I'm at a car wash, the ones where you sit in your car like a lazy person and have machines do it for you, sounds just like that!
Okay serious time: The roommates and I are going to make an overnight trip to Tokyo this weekend, hopefully the Typhoon mellows out! But it looks like either way, we are committed to this trip! :)
More exciting news to come my beautiful people! Goodnight! (or should I say good morning to all my loves in Cali) hehe <3
