Konichiwa my loves!
This weekend me and the girls did an overnight stay in Tokyo, it was HUGE. Coming from the other parts in Japan when everything is really small and compact to Tokyo was just amazing to see the difference between the two. When we first got there our check in wasn't until later so we decided to explore, walk around, and get some lunch. Before lunch we stopped by a popular shrine in shabuya which was a really cool experience, they have their own ritual approaching the shrine as well as techniques I just love how spiritual and devoted some of the Japanese people are, it really inspires me. For lunch we went to an Italian restaurant (your probably thinking wait Italian food in Japan?) I'll be honest, I was skeptical to try Italian food in Japan but it was surprisingly really good! I definitely think the Japanese are way ahead of us not just in technology, but by topping our food in the U.S... they can do it all!
The hotel we stayed at was very clean and classy, but the bedroom situation was the funniest thing. All seven of us girls (we're on a budget) all crammed into a hotel room the size of small office, with ONE bed. Lets just say we all managed to fit in it like sardines in a can haha. Besides that the nightlife there is just amazing (mind you, most Japanese start drinking at a vey young age, it's completely accepted...somehow) all I can say is the Japanese know how to have a good time!
Tomorrow Is the start of a new week, aka: my Monday. One thing I learned while being here (Long days, short weeks) I am definitely looking forward to next weekend. The five of us girls are making an over night trip to Nikko, Japan which is more out in the country there will be tons of beautiful waterfalls, intricate shrines, as well as temples. I am VERY excited to be able to get in touch with Nature, meditate, and appreciate the little things.
I believe my laundry is finally finished (everything gets done much slower in Japan) but hey, it's all an experience! I'm just so grateful to have this opportunity. IM IN JAPAN!!! YAAAA!! Hehe :)
I hope everyone had an amazing day, I am exhausted time for some sleep! Goodnight world!!
