This is a picture of us on the Ponte di Rialto, basically translated to "Royal Bridge" on the Grand Canal of Venice. It is central in the city and there are lots of shops, restaurants, and, of course, gondolas in the area. We were surprised to find locks on parts of this bridge, we are still going to go to the love lock bridge in Paris though!! On day two in Venice we visited the senate/courts/prison of Venice in the Piazzo San Marco. Can you believe the prison was in the same building of the courts? Well, they were connected by the "Bridge od Sighs," but still. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside or else I definitely would have taken one of the room where criminal hearings were heard; if my Uncle Donnie had been a Venetian Criminal Defense lawyer back in the day, that would have been where he tried his cases! In the afternoon we took a lovely gondola ride, and ever took a hearts and doves picture with our driver. He asked what it meant but I dont think he understood when we tried explaining it. Oh well! Our flight leaves at 6:15, Ciao Venezia!
