Met the most amazing people ever last night. Even jetlagged they were so cool. Amazingly awesome... (p.s. this blog was hijacked by miss Amy)
Had an early morning wake up for the beginning of the Topdeck tour and headed for Dover to catch the ferry across to Calais. Met more amazing people- BFF's for sure ;) (again... thanks for the comments Amy!) The ferry ride was quick and painless and then it was off the boat and time meet our traveling home (Topdeck bus) for the next 28 days. First stop was Paris and after a quick drop off at the hotel it was time for the light tour of the city. The city was gorgeous as the sun was setting and we finished up at the Eiffel tower where a group of us climbed up the Tower and when I say climbed I mean literally. 670 stairs to the second level! Even enjoyed the sights and rain :-) Very proud of our efforts in getting back to the hotel on the train also.
Our next full day in Paris was most definitely full. Got up early to head back into the city for a day of Paris sight seeing. First stop the Notre Dame then a leasurly walk to the Lourve, quick snap of the Mona Lisa and off on the walk to the Champs Eleseys. A quick stop was had to taste the most incredible gelato ever then it was time for some window shopping. Climbed to the top of the Arc De Triomph to see some of the amazing views of Paris. It was then time for our Fat Tire Bike Tour which was probably the most fun 3 hours of the trip to date. Apart from risking my life more times in one day then I have in my entire life I had a ball! Domination of the roads was the main key and all 30 of us on the streets of Paris definitely did this. A quick stop in a park for a break and a random/bad Zumba Party bus we continued on the tour. Dinner was supplied for us in picnic form in a park under the Eiffel Tower. Such a beautiful way to eat a meal in Paris! After a quick bus change it was time for the Parisian Cabaret Show. Had a great day and night in an unreal city with an awesome tour group! xox
