Time to leave Barcelona and head back into France for the incredible city of Nice. One of my most favorite places on earth so I was a little keen to get back there. It was quite a big drive (9hrs) but totally worth it and I would have driven ten more just to get back to this place! Simply described as heaven on earth :-)
After arriving into town late afternoon we headed straight to the hotel to settle in and get ready for our included dinner where we went to a real cute restaurant that was decorated like a little French village. After some of the most amazing deserts I have ever had (ice cream balls coated in crumbs and chocolate sauce!) we headed to Wayne's Bar where we had a whole bunch of tables reserved for us and ready to dance on. Had one of the most memorable nights on the trip so far! After a well deserved sleep in, the next morning we headed straight down to the beach. I was like a kid the night before Christmas cause my anticipation to hit the beach was out of this world! Nice put on the best weather for us and the water was a blue colour which I had never experienced. Incredible could be the only word to describe it. After swimming and sun baking for a couple of hours we were tempted to parasail so Amy, Yva and I all jumped in the harnesses and up up and away we went. The views were incredible and I didn't want to come back down to earth! A group of us headed out to have some pizza before shopping our way back to the hotel to get ready for our night out in Monaco. After trying to work out how to buy a train ticket we finally got on the train for the 20min ride to Monaco. Such a gorgeous train ride along the coast of the mediterranean! Checked out the Grand Casino and people watched the millionaires driving through the streets in their Rolls Royce's and Ferraris then got some amazing dinner at the Cafe next door to the casino. The atmosphere was incredible with live music playing in the background and waiters dining on you hand and foot. After the dinner we just strolled around the town and took some amazing photos at different lookouts while the sun set. Met up with the group again and made our way back to Nice on the train and headed back to the hotel. An awesome day that felt like a real holiday! xox
