Bit of a lazy day had by all today. Basically we ate, we drank, we saw some sights, we played cards, we drank some more!
After breakfast, whilst Fran and Sam went off to be tortured (sorry I mean massaged), I went and treated myself to an iced coffee. Somehow I managed to make this last over an hour and it wasn't long before the girls were back to join me. Myself and Fran decided that at some point we needed to book a flight from somewhere to some place in Australia some time before Christmas (some plan ey!!!). Other than that we made a few more vague plans about our next stop in Cambodia before heading to see the big Buddha (I think he's actually better known as the standing Buddha at Wat Indravihan). Lunch today was noodle soup at a little street cafe, pretty amazing for only 35baht (70p). Following lunch we headed back to Khao San, back to my new favourite restaurant and back to more delicious iced coffee. This was followed by quite a few games of cards. Sam was introduced to card monopoly, I have to say she got the hang of it pretty well. I should really stop teaching people so well, its rare I actually win these days.
In the evening we headed back to the hostel and generally spent the evening just chilling, chatting with others, reading and drinking beer. Sam decided she would go out with the others, whilst myself and Fran stayed behind (it was after midnight and I am getting on a bit!!). We actually used the time productively - flights booked from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney on Dec 23rd arriving on Christmas eve with Sharpley ready and waiting at the hostel with a cooked breakfast. See we can make plans, sometimes!!!
