Mega sleep number 1 accomplished!! Somehow managed to sleep until lunchtime, haven't done that since probably the last time I slept in a hostel, clearly I'm not normal!
Whilst I caught some Zeds, Fran and Sam managed to get showered, dressed, had 2 cups of tea/coffee, made friends, organised a night out and Sam even managed to get a hair cut, all without my knowledge!!
When I finally woke up (after some gentle shouting, just to make sure I was still alive), we went to check out some of the sights (kitting out in our extremely stylish pac-a-macs). First stop Wat Po and the massive reclining buddha, then to the grand palace to call in on the King. Unfortunately he wasn't expecting us, so no afternoon tea from him, instead we had to make do with some Thai grub on Khao San. After lunch we headed to the giant swing & climbed lots of steps to reach the golden palace, where we got to play with some big balls...Erm I mean bells, big bells!!
Apparently we are meeting a group of people from the hostel tonight and heading to the sky bar for a little drink or two, so who knows where the night will end........

So we went out and here's how the night went:

Had drinks in hostel with some girls we just met, got a taxi to sky bar, refused entry to sky bar (inappropriate footwear), tried anyway, Sam borrowed my "sandals" (about 5 sizes too small), gained entry, gave shoes to another girl so I could go in, got escorted out of sky bar for no footwear, gave up and got taxi to Khao San and hit a few clubs! Had beers, had dance, ate spring rolls, came home!!

Injuries = 1 (Sam caught finger in toilet flush!)
