Today is our last day here in Florence. We're finally going to climb The Duomo this afternoon then have dinner at a rooftop restaurant. But how does a rooftop compare after climbing to the highest point in Florence? Then afterwards we're on to the ever painful packing challenge. We've already run into a roadblock (or more like skyblock) with that and we haven't even started. According to Italian law or whatever the source of the problem is, we can only have one bag carried on. Seeing as how every single one of us left with two it poses quite a problem.
But I'll worry about that later....
We had our last lunch at Trattoria Enzo e Piero (our daily lunch destination). As a farewell gift, Mossimo (sp?) (the owner), brought us all made from scratch Tiramisu. Chronic. He told us he would be sad not to see "his group" everyday because we all get "more beautiful everyday"... with the exception of Adam of course. According to Mossimo we had better not have found any boyfriends... again with the exception of Adam. Then we waved goodbye to Mossimo leaving him with a bag of Benne Wafers from Charleston in one hand and a bottle of vodka from Poland in the other.
Update: I did NOT get to climb to the top of The Duomo. Turns out the last entrance time for the dome is 5:00. Its the bell tower that is open until 6:30. So I used the money for The Duomo to buy a dress from H&M instead. All is well :)
