Observations: no leash laws in Munich or Salzburg; dogs walk right into restaurants and stores with their owners
I went across the river to the Mirabell Gardens today. There's not a word to describe how amazing they are. You'll just have to reference my pictures. i was so much more impressed than I was with the Boboli Gardens in Florence.. and I didn't have to pay 10 euro to get in. My curiosity got the better of me and I went exploring. I was walking through a street where a street festival was going on and saw an opening in the buildings with a street and staircase heading uphill. It led to a church on the very top of the hill (I'll have to ask its name). The trails and area around the church looked out over the entire city.
Some of the girls travelled to do the Alpine slides today. They had quite the experience with passive aggressiveness towards Americans (for all I know it could've been directed toward any nationality not Austrian... actually I believe they were in Germany).
I went into a little restaurant this afternoon to try some original bosna. Its two sausages (not sure what meat) with mustard and onions in a bun. So. Good. But when I first went in the white haired man behind the counter thought I asked for mineral water. Imagine the look at I got. Who is this girl? And why is she asking for mineral water in a place clearly centered around sausage and beer. He was overly thrilled when I clarified I wanted the bosna (I'm told its a specialty) and turned into a quite jolly old fellow.
Fun filled day of rain and papers and projects tomorrow....
7 days away from some real Vitamin D :)
