Today was our last day in Paris. We got up early, walked to the Musee d'Orsay and saw the Monet's, Manet's, Van Gogh's, etc. I liked the selection in that museum a lot more than in the Louvre. We stopped on the way back to the hotel and got a delicious quiche to eat on the way. I'm finally developing a taste for the Coke Light. Paris was wonderful. It was so pretty and historic and practical. I didn't understand 99.9% of the language, but I loved listening...

Today was another late start. This time change has been brutal. It was Louvre day, so we headed in that direction. On the way I bought some water colors from street vendors. One guy stands there and paints them and sells them on the spot. I really, really like the street vendors along the Seine. They have a lot of interesting stuff. Quick update from Scott. Hit the Louvre today. Got a bit of a late start, got there around 2:00 or so. The place is huge, almost too much art for a regular person (non art lover). The building itself was more impressive than the art inside. The coolest thing was actually seeing the Mona Lisa, and the crowd of people surrounding it. Something we did not know was there are no impressionist paintings at the Louvre. There is another museum we are going to try ...

Some of these aren't as surprising as others, but they still were a little disappointing and out of place. McDonalds. That wasn't a suprise but was still a little sad. They put goat cheese in stuff at the McDonalds in Paris. Domino's. Seriously. Old Navy GAP Century 21. WTF? Ben & Jerry's Several Starbucks Pizza Hut. Again...seriously. There are more that I'm not remembering. I'll update as they come to me.
