Quick update from Scott. Hit the Louvre today. Got a bit of a late start, got there around 2:00 or so. The place is huge, almost too much art for a regular person (non art lover). The building itself was more impressive than the art inside. The coolest thing was actually seeing the Mona Lisa, and the crowd of people surrounding it. Something we did not know was there are no impressionist paintings at the Louvre. There is another museum we are going to try ...

Some of these aren't as surprising as others, but they still were a little disappointing and out of place. McDonalds. That wasn't a suprise but was still a little sad. They put goat cheese in stuff at the McDonalds in Paris. Domino's. Seriously. Old Navy GAP Century 21. WTF? Ben & Jerry's Several Starbucks Pizza Hut. Again...seriously. There are more that I'm not remembering. I'll update as they come to me.

Just a wanted to get some random thoughts written down before I forgot them, just some observations: There are alot of smaller motorcycles and scooters, not many bigger bikes......not mobile enough. They all drive like maniacs..weaving in and out between cars I'm surprised we haven't seen several accidents. Everyone on a motorcycle or scooter wears a helmet, but no one riding bicycles on the street wears a helmet. Almost everyone smokes. The street beggars...

Day 3 in Paris. Today we got a late start due to my having a headache. The biggest thing on the agenda today were the Catacombs. We headed out and walked through Luxembourg Gardens at Luxembourg Palace. It was really pretty. The palace houses the senate. Weather today was chilly and windy. And cloudy.
